Shilpa Shetty all set to be yoga guru

Shilpa Shetty will launch her own production house S2 Productions to make her DVD video on yoga this month. "After her per fume S2 reached the number one slot on the UK perfume charts, Shilpa was thinking about what her next step should be.

She wanted to do some thing she had not ventured i n t o before, when she hit upon the idea of producing her DVD video herself," informed her spokesperson and publicist Dale Bhagwagar. To be shot from August end for a week at the backwaters in Kerala, the yoga DVD video, span ning two hours, will be directed by Manish Jha (of the critically acclaimed feature films Matrubhoomi and Anwar fame). While Arghya Lahiri is writing the script for the video, the camera work will be handled by Englishman Jamie Sowlds. Currently, a team is in Kovalam scouting the best locations and backdrops for the shoot.

The DVD video will concentrate on yoga, fitness and lifestyle and will be available in the UK and Dubai to begin with. The distribution network is being finalized. "The video will showcase the right techniques of doing ashtanga yoga including breathing techniques. It will also concentrate on food management and provide guidance about how to maintain a slim waist without dieting and by eating the right foods," Bhagwagar added.

The package will also contain a free lounge music CD with tunes composed by Pankaj Awasthi. Shilpa has been a regular practitioner of yoga, and she has been getting intensive lessons from yoga trainers Shiv Kumar Mishra and Vinayak Dixit for a month now, making sure she perfects the asanas to be shot for the video.

When asked if the production house also plans to make feature films in the future, Bhagwagar said, "It's premature to comment on that but it could be a possibility. As of now, the production house is focusing on the video."

Soon after the DVD video, Shilpa will be seen in a musical titled Miss Bollywood. Premiering with shows in Germany by the end of this year, the musical will travel to the UK and later to the US and Australia. On her agenda next, is a cookery book titled Soul Curry and role of Sita in Uru Patel's international venture Hanuman. With so much in the offing, one can very well expect to find Shilpa in complete media glare throughout the coming year.
